Imaginary Landscapes - Awards Ceremony

The Maison d’Ailleurs and the EPAC have the pleasure of inviting you to the opening and awards ceremony of the Imaginary Landscapes competition on Friday, 16th December at 7 p.m.

The International Imaginary Landscapes competition is the fruit of collaboration between the EPAC, Academy of Contemporary Arts, the Maison d'Ailleurs, Switzerland, and the ASP, Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Poland. The 700 entries, based on maps of imaginary lands, came up with fascinating landscapes as varied as the participants themselves. There were young students, tomorrow's artists, budding strip cartoon artists, painters, photographers, film animators, illustrators, and so on.

The jury selected 35 works which will be exhibited on printed panels and by projection.

• 1st  prize 1000 € : Othmane Loulidi Sââd, EPAC, Switzerland
• 2nd prize 500 € : Robert Zielinski, ASP, Poland
• 3rd prize ex aequo, 300 € : Hsieh Wen Ming, TNNUA, Taïwan R.O.C
• 3rd prize ex aequo, 300 € : Single Cells, GAFA, China

Inn-Yang (E.H.) Low réalisera une performance en peignant un dragon géant sur le parking du Casino de Saxon. Un hélicoptère est à disposition afin que vous puissiez admirer l’oeuvre du ciel.

Exposition d'Affiches - du 9 au 13 novembre 2011

L’ Ecole Professionnelle des Arts Contemporains présente un florilège des travaux d’étudiants lors d’un workshop consacré à la réalisation d’une affiche du festival animé par l’illustrateur Gilles Francescano.

Au travers de cette exposition, les étudiants, venants de tous horizons et âgés de 15 à 22 ans, nous montrent leur attirance pour les techniques de création graphique actuelle et leur attachement à un patrimoine commun de la Science Fiction.

Ces illustrations témoignent d’une grande diversité de création et d’une énergie vivifiante.
