Bednarczyk Andrzej

Peinture - Concept - du 19 au 23 décembre 2011

The works of Andrzej Bednarczyk do not hint at the fight with tradition; nor do they indicate a new revolutionary definition of beauty. On the contrary, it appears that the author is close to the theories of ancient Greek philosopher, who either identified the notion of beauty with spirituality and goodness(e.g.Plato), or with the perfect structure of things and the harmony of the universe(e.g. Pitagoreans). Bednarczyk is close th these veiws, but he finds them insufficient;rather than being axioms, they seem to provide a but strating point for further search. The question of beauty constitutes successive attempts at unveiling sense, meaning, and truth. These are attempts at disclosing and describing the inherent order that rules the world. At the basis of this meaning, and truth. These are attempts at disclosing and describing the inherent order that rules the world. At the basis of this search there is a conviction (or even a certaity) that such a supreme order does exist, and that it is wise and wonderful.
